Jessica Chastain (born Jessica Chastain) is an acclaimed American actor, filmmaker and feminist. She has played the role of strong women in films which feature feminist themes. She has been nominated for two Oscars and has been the recipient of an award called the Golden Globe Award. Born in California located in the US, she developed an interest in acting after she saw the play "Joseph and The Amazing Tecnhicolor Dreamcoat'. She received the Golden Globe Award for her role in 'Zero Dark Thirty and was awarded the award for "Best Actress". Her most well-known role is the portrayal of strong and flawed women.
