Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden was born on the 14th of August 1959 in La Jolla, California, her third child from five. Beverly Bushfield was her mother and Thad Harden who was serving in the army service, was the father. Her family often relocated. While they were in Greece the family became more interested in theatre and enrolled in Athens shows. Harden began college in Europe at American institutions and then moved to the US to complete her studies at the University of Texas. In 1983, Harden earned her MFA in theatre at NYU. Even though she had appeared in a movie since 1986 in the little-known The Imagemaker (1986), her first major role that was a part of a TV movie work, was as an edgy femme fatale in The Imagemaker, the Coen Brothers' cleverly offbeat tribute to gangster films, Miller's Crossing (1990). Harden's gorgeous portrayal as Verna who was a mysterious, attractive moll, was praised by evaluations. Harden continued to work in support characters. Harden was the lead character in Ava Gardner, a TV biopic about Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
